Emma Bowser
Second-year midfielder, Emma Bowser, is this week’s Athlete of the Week for Women's Soccer.
According to Coach Cyr, Emma brought tremendous energy to the midfield this week. Coming off the bench to make an immediate impact in both games as MSVU secured a 6-point weekend. Her hard work and determination paid off, as she scored two crucial goals—one against STU and a game-winner versus UNBSJ. Emma was able to join and impact the attack while her relentless efforts in winning the ball back on transition helped control the tempo and momentum for MSVU. Emma had a standout weekend and helped the Mystics to secure their spot at the top of the table for the week.
A Bachelor of Science, Biology student, Emma is from Dartmouth, NS.
Madesen Allen
First-year Mystic Madesen Allen is this week's Athlete of the Week for Cross Country.
Madesen won her second meet of the 2024 ACAA cross country race, crossing the line in first place with a time of 25:29 in the six-kilometre race, a good 30 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. The win helped secure a third-place team finish for the Mystics.
A Public Relations student, Madesen is from Dartmouth, NS.
Tristan Brocklehurst
Second-year goalkeeper Tristan Brocklehurst is this week's Athlete of the Week for Men's Soccer.
According to Coach Florean, Tristan showed great character and confidence protecting the net this weekend. Tristan's ability to stop shots and leadership was a top performance in the Mystics vs STU match, keeping Mystics in the game to the end. Tristan also had a impressive game vs UNBSJ on Sunday, making great saves and leading the Mystics to the end.
