Lawtons Drugs Athletes of the Week
Mhyah Allen and Muhammed Hamo are this week's Lawtons Athletes of the Week.
Mhyah Allen
Third-year Forward, Mhyah Allen, is this week's Lawtons Athlete of the Week for Women's Soccer.
According to Head Coach Jenna Blackburn:
"Mhyah Allen’s dominant performances on the pitch were instrumental in back-to-back Mystic wins over UKC and Crandall this weekend.
Mhyah played a full 90 minutes in both matches, showcasing incredible endurance, consistency, and determination. On Friday night against UKC, she scored the game-winning goal in a hard-fought match, sealing a crucial victory for her team. She followed that up with another standout performance on Sunday, adding a goal and 2 assists in a commanding 6-0 win over Crandall.
Across the two games, Mhyah fired off a total of 15 shots, with 10 of those hitting the target, 7 alone coming in the Crandall match. Her relentless pressure on both opposing backlines created numerous scoring chances and kept defenders on their heels.
Mhyah’s energy, composure, and attacking instincts made her a constant threat and a key difference-maker in both wins."
Muhammed Hamo
Third-year Defender, Muhammed Hamo. is this week's Lawtons Athlete of the Week for Men's Soccer.
According to Head Coach Keiran Collins:
"Muhammed Hammo (Mo) put in two massive performances on the back line. Mo played a full 180 minutes across the weekend, showing incredible consistency and endurance.
From start to finish, he was a dominant presence in the air, winning countless aerial duels and bringing stability to the defense. In addition, his timing and physicality in 1v1 tackles shut down opposing attackers and gave the team confidence to push forward.
Beyond his defensive work, Mo’s composure on the ball and ability to read the game allowed him to break up plays early and set the tone for the team. His effort, determination, and leadership through action were vital in securing positive performances for the group."
