Fredericton, NB - Tommies took to the court again at the LB Gym, facing the Mount Saint Vincent University Mystics in the second game of their weekend series. Despite a stronger start, the Tommies couldn't overcome the Mystics' consistency, falling 66-48.
The opening quarter was a tightly contested battle, with MSVU taking a 16-13 lead. By halftime, the Mystics extended their advantage to 10 points, capitalizing on key opportunities.
The Tommies showed grit throughout the game, but MSVU's well-rounded performance carried them to their second-consecutive victory.
Victoria Strickland led the way for the Mystics, scoring 21 points and added six rebounds. Amanda Pearcey also had a great game, scoring 16 points and added three rebounds, while Marley Curwin recorded eight points, six steals, five rebounds and two assists in the victory.
Charlee Connors and Katie Vidito were the top performers for STU, netting 13 and 12 points each, repsecitively.
