Clark named ACAA Player of the Year
Fourth-year midfielder Sacha Clark has been named the ACAA Player of the Year and a First Team All-Star.
Several members of the women's soccer team were honoured at the 2024-15 ACAA Soccer Championships awards banquet Friday night in Moncton, New Brunswick.
Sacha Clark, ACAA Player of the Year
Dartmouth, Nova Scotia native Sacha Clark was named the ACAA player of the year after leading the league in scoring with 10 goals this season. A biology major, Clark not only started in all 12 regular season games this year, but she played a full 90 minutes in each one. She was also named to the first all-conference team.
Danielle Cyr, ACAA Coach of the Year
Currently in their sixth season as head coach of the Mystics, Danielle Cyr has been named the ACAA Coach of the Year for the second time in their career. They led the Mystics to an undefeated season this year, boasting an 8-0-4 record to secure the top spot in the standings at the end of regular season play and secure a berth to the ACAA championship this weekend. Cyr first received the honour during the 2021-22 season.
Morgan Gillis, Second Team All-Conference Keeper
Fourth-year keeper Morgan Gillis was named the second team all-conference keeper after posting an .900 save percentage in 11 games played. The sociology and anthropology major allowed just six goals all season and made 54 saves.
